When Animal Help Unlimited in India became aware of an injured stray animal that required medical attention, they immediately sent rescue workers to the area where the animal was located.
Penny, an ill-equipped pet dog, was found by the rescue workers after she had been involved in a car crash. It is extremely challenging for a pet to survive on the streets, particularly in a nation like India where the number of strays has skyrocketed in recent years.The Humane Culture estimates that there are more than 30 million strays living on the streets of India (and additionally has the highest price of human fatality by rabies in the world).
A dog that is injured while living on the streets faces the possibility of suffering excruciating pain and ultimately losing its life because there are so many other dogs vying for space, food, and even their lives. If Animal Aid Unlimited had not intervened to help, it is very likely that Dime would have ended up in a situation similar to the one described above.
When rescuers came across Dime, the first thing they noticed was that she had an injured eye.
They rushed her to their medical facility for an examination, where the results showed that the rest of her face had sustained no injuries as a result of the car accident. On the other hand, her eye was damaged beyond repair, and it would be necessary to remove it.
Dime’s future was actually on her mind, despite the fact that she was averting her gaze, and she appeared to be aware of it. After just one day at the rescue hospital, Penny started to unwind and depend on the people around her. Through her veil, she was bursting!
After Penny had recovered from her surgical therapy, she started to develop into a beautiful, active pet. The rescuer said simply, “Love is seen with the heart, not the eyes. The operation kept Penny from experiencing excruciating pain. Although her vision is blurry, love can be seen in her heart.
Dime is now a happy, energised dog with lots of love to share! She will never have to live on the streets again, and her entire life has been changed in the most wonderful way imaginable.
