Judy Garland, who portrayed the iconic Dorothy, was just 17 at the time of filming. Sadly, she passed away on June 22, 1969, at the age of 47 in Chelsea, London. Jack Haley, who played the Tin Man, was 42 during the production and died on June 6, 1979, at 81 in Los Angeles.
