An explanation of Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks’ Christmas song: Inside the words of the 2024 holiday single and other information

Christmas season is upon us, and with that comes Christmas music — including many new Christmas albums. Jason Kelce is retired from football, but that hasn’t stopped him from reuniting with his Philadelphia Eagles teammates to release a third studio album this holiday season.

This year, the charity album is titled “A Philly Special Christmas Party,” set to release on Nov. 22. And several songs from the album have already started hitting the airwaves — including one of the highly anticipated tracks was a duet between Kelce and music icon Stevie Nicks.

Kelce and Nick’s collaboration is titled “Maybe This Christmas.” The song is hopeful, as many Christmas songs are, but still carries a depth of emotion. Whether through Kelce’s deep voice or Nicks’ iconic folk sound, the track packs a punch.

“Maybe This Christmas,” written by Ron Sexsmith, will be included with the full album release on Nov. 22.

In addition to the Kelce and Nicks duet, the 2024 album will feature Jason and his brother Travis collaborating on a song called “It’s Christmas Time (In Cleveland Heights),” the brothers’ hometown. Also featured on this year’s album are current Eagles offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata as well as musical artists Boyz II Men and Mt. Joy.

Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks song lyrics

Maybe this Christmas will mean something more

Maybe this year love will appear

Deeper than ever before

And maybe forgiveness will ask us to call

Someone we love, someone we’ve lost

For reasons we can’t quite recall, mmmm

Maybe this Christmas

Maybe there’ll be an open door

Maybe the star that shone before

Will shine once more

Maybe there’ll be an open door

Maybe the star that shone before

Will shine once more

Maybe this Christmas will find us at last

In heavenly peace, grateful at least

For the love we’ve been shown in the past, mmmm

Maybe this Christmas, maybe this Christmas
