One thing about Anne Hathaway is she will always turn heads on a red carpet—even if she’s not meant to be the main attraction.
This Tuesday night, the actor stepped out to the star-studded New York City premiere of The Apprentice, the new Donald Trump biopic starring Sebastian Stan as the former president and Bodies Bodies Bodies star Maria Bakalova as his first wife, Ivana Trump. While Hathaway is not in the film, she attended the event, held at the DGA theatre, simply as a supporter.
Of course, Hathaway unintentionally stole the spotlight even in her under-the-radar ensemble. She went full autumn in a super-long black wool gabardine from Versace with red thread details and ornate golden buttons. (The coat is straight off the runway and therefore not yet available for purchase.) It was a step away from her usual glamorous red-carpet gowns, but just as luxurious.

Hathaway played with proportions for her fit, as under her coat she seemed to wear a black leather minidress that ended high on her thigh. She paired it with coordinating black leather thigh-high boots.

Finally, for a welcome pop of red, and to match the embellishments on her coat, the Devil Wears Prada star accessorized with a Versace’s Kleio shoulder bag. The candy apple red piece features a golden clasp embossed with the brand’s iconic logo. It retails for a hot $2,390.
Hathaway finished her look with large diamond stud earrings and a matching ring. She had her hair down in messy waves and wore a glossy pink lip.
