Like many women, Anne Hathaway’s weight has fluctuated throughout her career. The ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and ‘The Princess Diaries’ actress has lost weight in a number of ways.
Anne Hathaway’s personal trainer Jackie Keller told US fitness magazine Shape that the actress followed a mostly vegan, high-protein, anti-inflammatory diet to get ready for her film shoots. To keep her blood sugar levels in check, Hathaway ate foods like avocados, almonds, sesame seeds, raw chocolate, bright red and orange vegetables high in antioxidants like yams, dark leafy greens, along with ginger and turmeric.
Keller also introduced seitan and tempeh into the American rose’s meal plan to provide her with the high protein intake needed to build muscle during her workouts. According to Shape, Hathaway enjoys meals like miso soup, tempeh club sandwiches on gluten-free bread, Tuscan brown rice salad, egg white fries and vegan egg rolls when preparing for filming.
The newspaper reported that while filming, the actress ate six or seven meals a day, plus a soup or salad. She kept her body energized by eating every two to three hours, which allowed her to take in about 1,500 to 1,800 calories a day. And, if she felt hungry, she would snack on all-natural, low-fat peanut butter rolled with dried fruit on whole-grain pita bread, a thin flatbread. That gave her the ideal energy without “changing” her figure or weight.
Despite Anne Hathaway’s generally slim figure, she lost 25 pounds (about 11 kg) in one targeted weight loss, according to Business Insider.
The American rose said that for her, losing weight is her goal, but to achieve it, “I really need to be strong”…
In an interview with fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar, the actress said she had to do an intense workout regimen plus an hour and a half of dancing, five days a week to prepare for her roles.
Anne Hathaway shared: “I always thought the goal was to lose weight, but to be able to do that, I really needed to be strong”…
The actress has maintained her fitness routine since becoming a mother, and while it’s not as rigorous as her days of training for movies, it’s still beneficial to keep her figure in shape. Within eight weeks of giving 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to her son Jonathan in 2016, Hathaway tried to hit the gym moderately, following the instructions of her trainer three times.
Anne Hathayway’s trainer says vegetables typically make up half of the actress’s plate, while protein and carbohydrates make up the other half, while staying hydrated during her weight loss journey.
Thanks to a clear, stable and targeted diet, the American rose’s beauty is not inferior even when standing with her co-stars who are decades younger.
