On August 2, Elon Musk appeared at Travis County Family Court in Austin (Texas, USA) in a custody battle with his ex-girlfriend Grimes.
District Court Judge Catherine Mauzy ordered a small group of spectators to leave the courtroom shortly after the hearing began, as lawyers for Musk and Claire Boucher, aka musician Grimes, requested the trial be held behind closed doors.
Both sides raised concerns about the safety of their three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and serious privacy issues involved in the case.

Musk was surrounded by his own security detail when he arrived at the courthouse more than 45 minutes before the 9 a.m. hearing. He remained hidden in a stairwell, seemingly avoiding media attention, until minutes before the hearing began.
Musk and Grimes, who have three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren together, have fought over custody in courts in California and Texas.
On August 3, Grimes’ mother, Sandy Garossino, sent Musk a message on X: “It was great to see you on Father’s Day. I hope you got the card I helped X (Musk and Grimes’s son) make. The kid was so proud of it.”
Grimes appeared in court, accusing Elon Musk of preventing her from seeing her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

Ms Garossino said she had to post these things on social media because it was the only way she could contact Musk. “As you know, my mother is 93 years old and is in hospice care. I was very worried when I heard that the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren could not come because you were keeping the 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and their necessary documents from Claire.”
Musk has at least 12 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren with three women. His most recent 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 is with Neuralink CEO Shivon Zilis, who previously had twins with Musk.
