Kim Kardashian Gets Glam, Elon Musk Jokes About an AI President in 2032 and More From the Breakthrough Prize Red Carpet

Hollywood and science collided Saturday night at the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony.

Billed as the “Oscars of Science,” the evening honors scientists responsible for major discoveries. Taking place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the event’s star power included Robert Downey Jr., Jessica Chastain, Brie Larson, Olivia Wilde, Margot Robbie, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Venus Williams, Alicia Keys and many more.

Kim Kardashian arrived on the later side (as she is prone to do) in a skin-tight white gown. Her hair stylist Chris Appleton and a makeup artist gave her final touchups behind the step-and-repeat before she and mom Kris Jenner walked the carpet. But when Karadashian’s gown and hair needed some adjustments, her glam team was quick to jump onto the carpet for more touch-ups.

Elon Musk offered some wacky poses on the carpet, throwing his hands in the air Evita Perón-style or frowning while looking upward as if the sky was falling. He answered reporters’ questions, joking with Variety that he predicts an AI candidate could win the White House in 2032.

Who will win the U.S. presidential election in 2024? Elon Musk weighs in from the carpet at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony.
