Angelina Jolie arranged to avoid meeting Brad Pitt at Venice Film Festival

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will both be at the Venice Film Festival in Italy this week to promote their new films, but organizers have cleverly arranged for the former couple to avoid running into each other.

According to Hola! , the festival’s artistic director, Alberto Barbera, said he scheduled the two stars to appear on two different days. Angelina Jolie arrived in Venice earlier this week and will attend the premiere of her film on Thursday, August 29. She and director Pablo Larraín will then leave Italy for the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, USA.

“Brad arrives in Venice on Saturday. It’s unlikely they’ll meet at the Venice Lido,” said Alberto Barbera.

Angelina Jolie is currently in Venice, just hours before the 81st film festival opens on August 28. The Hollywood star appeared elegant in a luxurious camel coat, a black midi skirt and striking leather boots. She smiled as the paparazzi took pictures.

The 49-year-old actress is expected to walk the red carpet to promote María . Angelina stars in the film as legendary opera singer Maria Callas. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival and will compete for the Golden Lion award.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt came here to premiere the movie Wolves – an action comedy directed by Jon Watts. The 60-year-old actor stars alongside his close friend, actor George Clooney.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt previously attended the 2007 Venice Film Festival, where Brad’s western The Assassination of Jesse James premiered. At the time, the Smiths had been together for less than three years and had not yet had twins Knox and Vivienne. In 2010, the Jolie-Pitt family, now with six 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, returned to Venice for Angelina to film The Tourist with Johnny Depp.

Angelina and Brad divorced in 2016 after two years of marriage and 11 years of living together. To this day, the former couple is still in a tense divorce battle. According to People , the two have not reached a common agreement after 8 years of negotiations. In addition, Brad Pitt is suing Angelina in another case, protesting her selling shares in their joint estate in France.
