Olympic gymnast Simone Biles took some time out from her rigorous Tokyo 2021 training schedule in order to enjoy a fun-filled getaway with her NFL star boyfriend Jonathan Owens this past week – but she offered up a very clear reminder of how hard she has been working for the upcoming Games.

The 24-year-old left her Instagram followers in awe when she shared several images of herself showing off an incredibly ripped six pack, with one person joking that her abs are so defined, 25-year-old Jonathan could ‘wash his clothes on them’.

Simone, who is the most decorated American gymnast in history, and Jonathan, who plays for the Houston Texans, shared multiple snaps from their romantic getaway in Miami, where they spent time chilling by the pool, soaked up some sun, and enjoyed several meals at various eateries in the city.

The couple also packed on the PDA in several intimate images that show them kissing and cuddling throughout the weekend. Simone captioned one of the snaps, which was taken at Nikki Beach in Miami Beach: ‘With you is where I want to be.’

In one series of photos, the pair are seen canoodling poolside, with Simone showing off the results of her intense training regimen in a blue-and-white patterned bikini, which she paired with white slides.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend looked cool and casual in a white T-shirt, black denim shorts, and Off-White sneakers.

Simone and Jonathan also spent time with Houston-based influencer Ashley Wilson, with the gymnast posing up for a photo alongside her pal in which both are seen posing with margaritas.

Other images show Simone modeling a black crop top, tiny denim shorts, a patterned silk headscarf and sunglasses.

In several of the snaps, the sports star is seen toasting a cocktail towards the camera, while others see her showcasing her athletic figure in a figure-hugging yellow dress.

Simone’s abs and her sweet poses with boyfriend Jonathan garnered plenty of attention on social media, where the gymnast’s followers flooded the comments section with compliments about both.

‘Look at those MUSCLES,’ one person wrote, while another simply said: ‘AAAAAAABDOMINALS.’

Others described Simone and Jonathan as ‘cute’, ‘sweet’, and ‘perfect’, with one adding: ‘I love y’all happiness it makes me happy.’

The getaway comes just after an important Olympic milestone – the 100-day countdown to Tokyo 2021 – which Simone marked on Instagram with a picture of herself and her training companions at the World Champions Centre in Houston.

She also celebrated the countdown by appearing on the Today show, where she opened up about the personal significance of the upcoming Games – noting that she felt compelled to take part in order to represent the victims of pedophile gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar.

Simone is one of hundreds of gymnasts who were abused by Nassar while he was working as the official team doctor for USA Gymnastics, and she has been outspoken in criticizing the organization’s handling of the scandal – and the subsequent steps it has taken to address it.

‘I just feel like everything that happened, I had to come back to the sport to be a voice, to have change happen,’ Simone said of her decision to work towards a spot in the upcoming Olympics, even after they were delayed because of the pandemic.

‘Because I feel like if there weren’t a remaining survivor in the sport, they would’ve just brushed it to the side.

‘But since I’m still here, and I have quite a social media presence and platform, they have to do something. So I feel like coming back, gymnastics just wasn’t the only purpose I was supposed to do.’
