The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Dailymail that the boy was not wearing a helmet when his electric bike crashed into the back of a car stopped at a red light at 5.12pm on Sunday on Los Feliz Boulevard. Witnesses at the scene said Pax Thien immediately complained of pain in his head and hips after the accident. When Angelina Jolie’s son lay unconscious on the ground, many people thought he was dead. It was only when paramedics arrived that Angelina’s adopted Vietnamese son regained consciousness.
A source close to Angelina Jolie shared that the actress is with her son at the hospital. Currently, he is in stable condition. The severity of the injury is still unclear.
Despite not calling to check in, a source told DailyMail that Brad was devastated and worried about Pax’s accident, but he couldn’t get in touch with the boy.
“Brad gets very upset every time he hears that one of the kids has been hurt and he feels completely helpless because there’s nothing he can do. A father would tend to go to the hospital or call his kids multiple times, but Brad has tried so many times and the kids won’t answer his phone. He’s left with no other choice,” the source revealed.
The insider also took a subtle swipe at Angelina Jolie: “Brad doesn’t think Pax should have been riding a scooter without a helmet in the first place – he should have been in the car.”
