Mbappe changes mask to prepare for Euro 2024 round of 16

During the recent training session of the French team at Euro 2024, striker Kylian Mbappe appeared with a new mask.

France striker Kylian Mbappe’s new Euro 2024 mask has many improvements

Before the match with Belgium in the round of 16 of Euro 2024, the French team trained very seriously. Notably, star Kylian Mbappe appeared with a newly designed, more impressive mask.

Compared to the mask worn in the final round of Group D, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Poland, the new one has more ventilation holes in the nose and cheeks. At the same time, it has also been improved to fit the face more closely than the previous version, minimizing gaps in the eye area.

Notably, according to The Sun (UK), the new mask Kylian Mbappe used in training is much thinner than the previous one. The reason is said to be that Mbappe wants to minimize the effect of the mask on vision, thereby enhancing his ability to observe and handle the ball optimally in the upcoming important match with Belgium.

Previously, France coach Didier Deschamps confirmed that Kylian Mbappe was having difficulty with his old mask. “Breathing is no problem. But vision is a bit limited. In some situations, the mask limits Kylian Mbappe’s viewing angle, especially when handling the ball close to his feet, in narrow spaces. It’s like you’re wearing 3D glasses,” coach Didier Deschamps said.

With the new mask, French fans expect Kylian Mbappe to be comfortable in the upcoming knockout matches.

Coach Didier Deschamps continued: “Everything is getting better every day. The bruises have reduced a lot and Kylian Mbappe is also used to wearing the mask. He is very eager to play.”

Notably, in a few moments on the training ground recently, Kylian Mbappe was able to play football without using a mask. That shows that his nose injury has improved a lot.

According to the Euro 2024 schedule , France will play Belgium in the round of 16 on July 1
