The Premier League outfit will be in the air for just 21 MINUTES as they hop from Manchester to Cardiff.

The 143-mile trip would have taken 3 hours and 29 minutes by club coach or 3 hours and 23 minutes on the train.

While their coach journey from Cardiff to Newport will take longer than the 21 minutes that they spend in the air.

It’s not the first time that the Manchester giants have taken a short flight in recent years.

They were forced to take the 10-minute aerial route to Leicester in 2021 after severe traffic on the M6 prevented them from hitting the road.

The over-the-top mode of transport helps paint a picture of the vast difference between United and their League Two opponents.

Newport is 76 places and three divisions below United in the standings, and they will be looking to win the FA Cup at Rodney Parade.

The Welsh team is exerting every effort to improve their prospects of making a huge 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ing.

To accommodate more fans for the historic match, they have temporarily constructed a stand on their home field.

The additional 1,000 seats, according to manager Graham Coughlan, should increase their chances of defeating Erik ten Hag’s team.

He said: “You can hear everything on the touchline, sometimes you don’t want to, because they’re that close. They’re on top of you and it’s a unique atmosphere.

“It is hostile, it is noisy, and when they start beating that drum it’s an atmosphere to savour.”

The lineup for Newport’s game on Sunday further illuminates the matchup that pits David against Goliath.

Compared to Manchester United’s nearly £300 million roster, the starting lineup for the Exiles is anticipated to have cost them nothing.
