MLB player Shohei Ohtani’s collection of automobiles, which includes gifts from Elon Musk when he bought his first Tesla for $100,000

And when he eventually agrees to a bumper contract worth well over $500 million, the legendary Japanese baseball player is anticipated to add to his collection of high-end vehicles.

Ohtani was unable to drive when he immigrated to the US from Japan in 2017.

Because getting a license takes too long and he didn’t think he required one, the Los Angeles Angels great never drove in Japan.

He started selecting his first car after passing his exam in California.

His $4 million annual salary at the time could have bought him everything he desired.

Ohtani made the switch to electric vehicles, deciding on a roughly $100,000 Tesla Model X.

Elon Musk, the creator of Tesla, expressed his gratitude to X on social media when a picture of the baseball hero driving the opulent SUV to Angels Stadium surfaced.

He sent back a tweet alerting Musk about Ohtani drive, accompanied by a little emblem of the Japanese national flag and a heart emoji.

Through his interpreter, Ohtani remarked in February 2020, “I’m enjoying driving.”

In response to a question about his driving s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s, the baseball player said, “Pretty good.”

Ohtani’s passion for fast automobiles has grown since then, and he now has a Porsche sponsorship agreement.

In Japan, he partnered with Porsche to take a test drive of a $122,000 911 Carrera T. He acknowledged that it was his first experience operating a high-end supercar.

Ohtani also owns a $330,000 Rolls-Royce Wraith, according to Sportskeeda.

The Wraith sports a powerful 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine that can reach 155 mph at stoplights.

In addition, he has a $200,000 Bentley Continental GT with a top speed of 207 mph.

Ohtani also owns a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, priced at $170,000, and an Aston Martin DB11, valued at $205,000.

It is believed that the Dodgers, Blue Jays, Giants, Angels, and Cubs are the teams that are still in the running for Ohtani.
