Chelsea star Thiago Silva has claimed that he may well leave the club at the end of the season.
He told TNT Sports that he could not comment too much on the possibility of a return to Fluminese at the end of this campaign.
Silva has proven to be a real legend in the short time he has been at Stamford Bridge.
The passion he has shown for defending as well as his availability when approaching 40 years of age has made him a very popular figure.
However, this season is the first time where there have been genuine calls from the fans for him to be dropped from the starting line-up.
Silva refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
Centre-back is a position where Chelsea actually have a lot of depth at the moment when everyone in their squad is fit.
They are even playing one of their recognised players out of position, with Levi Colwill occupying more of a left-back role this season.
Silva certainly does not have too much longer left at Stamford Bridge, and he has now admitted that a move at the end of the season cannot be ruled out.
He said: “This is a long-standing relationship, right? But I’d rather keep quiet at the moment, because it’s been controversial in the recent past.
“I have a family, I have 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. So we have to think about that too. It’s about seeing where to finish off this beautiful career.”
With Benoit Badiashile approaching a return to action, it is likely there will be some games in the near future where the veteran Brazilian is forced to watch from the bench.
