Kelce’s teammates make fun of him
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has shed light on why he and his teammates find amusement in tight end Travis Kelce‘s actions during practice. The reason behind their laughter stems from recent rumors suggesting that Kelce is dating global pop sensation Taylor Swift. Swift has been spotted attending three Chiefs games this season, including the recent match against the Denver Broncos.
Mahomes, in an interview with Amazon Prime’s panel after the Chiefs’ 19-8 victory over the Broncos, discussed Kelce’s role within the team. Although Kelce did not score a touchdown in the game, he has managed to secure three so far this season.
Mahomes revealed that Kelce often deviates from pre-designed plays and runs his own routes, which leads to laughter amongst his teammates during practice. However, if Kelce’s unconventional approach proves successful in a game, Mahomes admits that they are more than happy with the outcome.
The Chiefs’ QB stated, “No, there’s no plan to that at all. So what happens is in practice Travis does it, and everybody laughs. They laugh at it and then all of a sudden, he just does it in a game and you’re just like if it works, eh, OK.”

There’s no official confirmation of Travis-Taylor relationship
Despite the ongoing speculation surrounding their relationship, neither Kelce nor Swift have publicly confirmed or denied their romantic involvement. The rumors began circulating in early September when the pair was seen together at an event in New York City.
In light of Kelce’s 34th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day on October 5, anticipation grew as to whether Swift would be present. Reports from US Weekly indicated that Kelce and Swift had spent time together prior to the Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings, although Swift did not attend.

Swift’s attendance at Chiefs games has not been limited to Kansas City alone. She was also spotted at MetLife Stadium when the Chiefs played against the New York Jets, where she sat alongside celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Hugh Jackman.
The ongoing presence of Swift at Chiefs games has undoubtedly sparked curiosity among NFL fans. However, it remains to be seen whether she will continue attending future games.
