Chelsea have now been told they have made two of the worst PL signings of the summer

A recent report has claimed that Chelsea have actually made two of the worst signings in the Premier League this summer.

According to the Mail Online, both Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson have failed to live up to the expectations since joining the Blues this summer.

Caicedo joined the club for a record fee, although notably struggled in his debut off the bench against West Ham.

However, he has in recent weeks finally begun to look like the player they splashed all that money on.

He has begun to form a partnership with fellow big signing Enzo Fernandez, and this has resulted in a turn of form at Stamford Bridge.

Caicedo and Jackson two of the worst signings

Despite this, it is obvious that his large price tag will see him judged to a different standard, and this has occurred in him being named one of the worst additions of the summer.

Another Chelsea player who made that list was Jackson, who has certainly struggled to find consistency in front of goal.

He has three goals in all competitions now for the club, with the most recent coming off the bench at the weekend against Burnley.

It remains to be seen whether this sees him handed a role up top when the Premier League returns with the match against Arsenal.

However, Mauricio Pochettino will certainly still be considering signing a new striker when the transfer window opens again in January.

Ivan Toney is the name who has been strongest linked to Stamford Bridge, with him likely to be on the move from Brentford when the window opens again.
