Saudi Arabia is not giving up on its dream of having Messi in its league vs. Ronaldo

The rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo went their separate ways with the Portuguese’s departure to Saudi Arabia and the Argentine’s decision not to follow him by rejecting the million-dollar offer to embark on an adventure with Inter Miami in the MLS.
Saudi Arabia is not giving up on its dream of having Messi in its league. With Inter Miami no longer able to reachthe MLS playoffs, and Argentina out of action for four months, they are already preparing a loan offer that allows them to have one last episode of the rivalry against Ronaldo.
“The internal evaluations are still ongoing, news is expected soon,” said Rudy Galetti, a journalist for Sky Sports about the Saudi Pro League looking to seduce Messi, Inter Miami and MLS for a loan during the break. David Beckham did something similar when he played for the Los Angeles Galaxy and AC Milan in 2009.
Messi preferred MLS
Prior to Messi’s signing with Inter Miami, the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund launched an offer of 400 million dollars to convince Messi, but the Argentine was more inspired by the MLS project and life in Miami.
Messi had a positive impact on Inter Miami, leading them to the conquest of the Leagues Cup, the franchise’s first-ever trophy.
