Levi Colwill has named two players who have helped him settle into the first-team at Chelsea.
The Chelsea No.26 made the comments when speaking to the Evening Standard.
So, who did Levi Colwill name as a leader at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – interestingly – there was no mention of Reece James, Chelsea’s club captain.
Colwill named Ben Chilwell – who is vice captain at Stamford Bridge – and Thiago Silva as two players who conduct themselves as leaders at Chelsea, and always help the younger talents at Cobham.
The 20-year-old said: “He was always putting his arm around me (Adam Lallana at Brighton). The same as Lewis Dunk. At Chelsea, I have Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva, leaders in the team for a reason. Their job is to help the young ones and I have had that. I’ve had the best.”

Colwill has seemingly slotted into the starting XI at Chelsea with ease, continuing his fine performances from the 2022/23 campaign while on loan at Brighton alongside Silva and Axel Disasi at the back.
Mauricio Pochettino can get more out of Levi Colwill at Chelsea
So far this season, Mauricio Pochettino has used Colwill almost at left-back, with Chilwell pushing on as a left-winger.
This has made Chelsea look a little lopsided at times, and it also leaves the risk of being caught by a sudden loss of possession, which happened when Anthony Elanga scored last Saturday.

At Brighton, Roberto De Zerbi had Colwill playing centrally, where the Italian ensured he utilised the England Under-21 international’s exceptional vision and passing s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s to punch passes between the lines, after baiting the opposition into a press.
Hopefully, Pochettino has considered his tactics over the international break, and is willing to make a slight tweak to get more out of Colwill’s immense talent.
