Al-Shorta 0-1 Al-Nassr: Ronaldo Scored The Only Goal To bring Al-Nassr To The Final For The First Time

Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo scored the only goal in the match Al-Shorta vs Al-Nassr in the semi-finals of the Arab Club Champions Cup. He is aiming for his first title with Al-Nassr.

Al-Nassr: Ronaldo (75′-pen)

Much appreciated than the representative of Iraq, Al-Nassr did not hesitate to overwhelm the opponent from the first minutes. Ronaldo is still the most active star on the Saudi side with a series of opportunities created.

However, in the first half, the Portuguese superstar was unlucky with his shots. He was even denied a goal in the 31st minute because VAR determined he was offside.

Other stars of Al-Nassr such as Sadio Mane or Anderson Talisca also did not have a productive day, so the first half ended without a goal.

Entering the second half, Al-Nassr was still the dominant team but continued to face difficulties because of the poor grace of the strikers. It was not until the 75th minute that they were able to break the deadlock. Defender Al-Shorta fouled Mane in the box and Ronaldo made no mistake on the penalty spot to score the opener.

However, Al-Nassr almost failed to defend the result. In the 90th minute, Al-Shorta had an extremely dangerous counter-attack, but fortunately for Al-Nassr, goalkeeper Nawaf was excellently saved in the face of the opponent.

The final result of this match was 1-0 in favor of Al-Nassr. Ronaldo and his teammates entered the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 (taking place at 1 a.m. on August 13). Their opponents are fellow country club Al-Hilal, who beat Al-Shabab 3-1. If won, CR7 will have the first title along with Al-Nassr.
