But despite that, Trout has made good use of his time on the injured list. A few days after Trout’s inspiring gesture came to light, most recently, he shared an adorable message for a young 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 battling a critical illness.

It has been a challenging time for the star outfielder as he battles hard to return from his hand injury. Nevertheless, amidst the hardships, he has carved out time to instill inspiration and encouragement in others.

Mike Trout Pens a Beautiful Message for a 7-Year-Old Child Battling Heart Disease

As a part of ESPN’s “My Wish” series, Mike Trout spent a day with Eli Velasquez, a 7-year-old battling a heart condition since 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡. Trout spent an entire day with him, doing batting practice, taking pictures, and even playing catch. Most recently, he shared a special message for the youngster on Twitter. Trout encouraged Eli and called him an inspiration.

In a Tweet, Trout said, “Eli, you are an inspiration. Keep fighting my man, you got this! 💪🏽”. This is a touching gesture from Trout, as he is Eli’s baseball hero. The star outfielder shared this message in reply to a video highlighting all the activities that he and the 7-year-old did together.

It shows fans another side of the Angels’ star that is prevalent behind the scenes. Trout does a lot of charity work and gives back to the community. But now the focus is on his return from injury and the Angels’ playoff hopes.
