Shohei Ohtani has been destined to break the mold in the National League ever since he put on a Dodgers uniform, first on the mound and then on the plate.
Just this year, his offensive performance has been extraordinary, leading the National League in home runs with 37, ranking second in runs batted in with 86, and fifth in batting average with .295.
