Mbappe’s huge signing bonus revealed

Because he recently played with the French national team at EURO 2024, Real Madrid gave striker Kylian Mbappe the opportunity to rest instead of attending the pre-season tour.

On July 16,  Real Madrid officially introduced Kylian Mbappe at the Bernabeu stadium in front of more than 80,000 spectators. Real Madrid fans are eager to see Mbappe play for their team. But they will have to wait about a month to get their wish.

Mbappe will not participate in Real’s pre-season tour of the United States. He and the players with his national team who have qualified for the knockout stages of EURO and Copa America 2024 will be given extra rest by Real Madrid.

They will only have to return to training with the whole team in early August. Thus, Mbappe’s first match for Real Madrid will most likely be the European Super Cup against Atalanta on August 15.

Real Madrid’s tour of the United States will take place in early August. Los Blancos will face Barca, AC Milan and Chelsea.

Besides, people are also interested in how much salary Real has to pay for Mbappe in exchange for his signature. In theory, this is a free deal for Real because the French striker arrives at Bernabeu on a free transfer.

But in reality, the Royal team had to spend a huge amount of money on this deal. Real Madrid’s first expense was the signing bonus for Mbappe.

According to Marca, the Vultures must spend between 100 and 115 million euros to convince the French striker to sign a 5-year contract. At Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe receives a salary of 15 million euros/season after tax.

He is among the highest paid players at Bernabeu. More importantly, the French striker is also favored with image rights.

Mbappe demanded more than 50% of his image rights, breaking Real Madrid’s tradition and the Royal team was forced to accept. According to many sources, the French striker will receive 60-80% of his image rights at the Bernabeu.

According to Marca’s calculations, in exchange for Kylian Mbappe’s 5-year contract, Real Madrid must pay more than 250 million euros. This figure does not include bonuses based on specific achievements.
