Priyanka Chopra‘s custom Ralph Lauren wedding dress may have featured sweet messages dedicated to her new husband Nick Jonas — but the star’s marriage-day makeup included a problematic link to the pop star’s ex, Miley Cyrus.
Makeup artist Yumi Mori took to Instagram earlier this week to share a complete list of the Marc Jacobs Beauty products she used on the Bollywood beauty for her big day, including the brand’s Le Marc Lip Crème in Oh Miley. In an exclusive story detailing Chopra’s wedding makeup, People confirmed that the same shade was used, as did Refinery29.
The red hue was named after Cyrus, a Marc Jacobs muse who famously dated Jonas in 2006, when the two were Disney Channel darlings.
Marc Jacobs Beauty also revealed on Instagram that Oh Miley was the shade used; the brand’s post has since been deleted, but not before a fan tweeted a screengrab and called out the funny link to Jonas’ former flame.
Perhaps after realizing the uncomfortable coincidence, Mori changed her Instagram caption, which now mentions a pink shade of the same Marc Jacobs Beauty lipstick called Boy Gorgeous. People and Refinery29 similarly edited their stories, which now report that Chopra wore Boy Gorgeous down the aisle.
Requests for comment from Mori were not immediately returned.
