LeBron James supporter and seasoned sports analyst join ESPN’s First Take

Sport debate shows have become all the rage over the last 20-plus years. They have evolved into something even more special within the industry, as they have allowed more people to get their opinions out to the public.

Notably, some analysts are more popular than others. And while analysts are supposed to leave all bias out of the discussions, sometimes it can be difficult.

Stephen A. Smith has been one of the biggest and most famous NBA analysts for as long as anyone can remember. ESPN rewarded him with a massive contract, and he is the star of the show First Take. He has been looking for a co-host of late and finally has found one.

Former Undisputed co-host and LeBron James fan, Shannon Sharpe is reportedly joining Smith on First Take each week. Sharpe will be joining two days a week during the football season, in what is likely a trial period to see how they work together.

Both men have tremendous energy on TV, so this should be a must-watch each time it airs. This seems like a good pairing and should be massively entertaining for the audience.

Sharpe has been very pro-James throughout his history as an analyst, so if the two men debate basketball, expect heavy Lakers talk.

This move is great for sports media and should help bring back viewers to ESPN. The channel has gone a little downhill in recent years, but this could be just what they need.

I for one, can’t wait to tune into First Take this season as Sharpe joins the team.
