Are The Knicks Expected To Sign Lakers’ Anthony Davis?

JUNE 19 AD TO NY? Should Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis star “bounce” to the Knicks?

ESPN analyst and former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins boldly sees it that way.

Said Perk, focusing on the Lakers’ coaching search: “We don’t know what’s about to go down in L.A., right? JJ Redick might be the frontrunner for that job. I don’t know. If you’re AD you got to see how that [expletive] look first. I gotta see how it look. JJ you’re here to make me look good? Are you here to benefit me or what? If not, I’m bouncin’ and New York is the place. They got the picks, they got the assets and guess what? AD in Madison Square with Beef and Body [Jalen] Brunson, you know what I’m sayin’?

“Stop playin’. Stop playin’! You like it!”

Perk sort of lost us at “you know what I’m sayin’. because a lot of that prediction is a jumbled mess. But sure. AD to NY. Maybe.

JUNE 17 OUT BUT NOT GONE

Although the New York Knicks failed to make the NBA Finals, at least they’ll have a player near the action. All-Star Julius Randle will be a guest analyst for the NBA Countdown crew during Monday’s festivities.

ESPN announced this morning the Knicks star will feature in the pregame, halftime, and postgame sections of the show. Randle is the third active player for ESPN to utilize for its NBA playoff coverage.

JUNE 15 CHUCK OUT? Charles Barkley announced on Friday night that next NBA season will be his final one as an analyst. But TNT seems to not quite believe it …

So we are choosing to not believe it, either.

“I ain’t going nowhere other than TNT,” Barkley said. “But I have made the decision that, no matter what happens, next year is going to be my last year on television. And I just want to say thank you to my NBA family.

“You guys have been great to me. My heart is full with joy and gratitude.”

TNT might lose the NBA. And so it’ll lose Chuck. Except … TNT has issued a response regarding Barkley’s future.

“Charles is a Hall of Famer and broadcasting icon who is and will always be a beloved member of the TNT Sports family,” the statement read. “We’re looking forward to another fantastic NBA on TNT season and further discussion of our future plans with him.”

That sounds like TNT is refusing to accept Chuck’s resignation letter.
