Sources confirm to People that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s different outlooks on life may be causing conflict in their marriage.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are set to marry in 2022, after rekindling their romance two decades earlier and calling off their engagement. The pair are currently living separately in Los Angeles amid reports of tensions between the two.

They were photographed smiling together and wearing wedding rings in public over the weekend, although multiple sources told People that their relationship is “on the rocks.”

“They have very different approaches to media attention,” an insider said. “Ben hates all the attention and it makes him very uncomfortable. Jennifer has always had a different approach.”

An industry source said Ben Affleck, 51, has “always been impressed” by Lopez’s work ethic and success in the industry, but “has always shared that her life is not his way.”

The source added: “While Ben admires Jennifer, it doesn’t make him happy and it causes tension in his life and then hers. There’s no doubt their different lifestyles are causing conflict.”

A third source from the music world said that Jennifer Lopez, 54, “needed that kind of expression but Affleck just wasn’t comfortable with it. After a while, it put a strain on the relationship. He’s more introverted and private while Jennifer loves to open up to the world. This makes them significantly different and makes it difficult to relate on a day-to-day basis.”

The source added: “There have always been clashes in their lifestyles, the way they handle things and their actions, but nothing has stopped their love over the years.”
