Kelce and the Eagles feel each other’s absence

Jason and Travis Kelce on Wednesday talked about summer training on the new episode of “New Heights.” While Travis is gearing up for a third consecutive Super Bowl title defense with the Kansas City Chiefs, Jason has spent some time reflecting on how “weird” it is not to be working alongside his now-former teammates in Philly.

Everything Jason Kelce Said About Retiring from the NFL

It feels weird not going into the building and man, it’s just the little conversations you have,” Jason said of his first offseason since his March retirement. “You’ll realize it, Trav, once it’s gone.”

The older Kelce brother announced he was stepping away this past spring after a decorated 13-year NFL career. He won a Super Bowl with the Eagles — the first and only such championship in the franchise’s modern history — while earning seven Pro Bowl nods and six first-team All-Pro designations.

As Jason discussed how “weird” it was not to be talking about the playbook or various improvements the Eagles could make, Philly lineman Jordan Mailata told reporters he too found it weird not to have the “GOAT” center around anymore. It certainly feels like the Eagles’ 2024 season will be one of adjustment for everybody — even for a player no longer with the team.
