The world’s richest billionaire Bernard Arnault owns a rare Patek Philippe, and Elon Musk wears a $250,000 Richard Mille watch.

Bernard Arnault (left) continues to top Forbes’ list of the world’s richest people with a fortune of $211 billion. According to Highsnobiety , the owner of luxury group LVMH owns an extremely rare Tiffany-Blue Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual 5740, the most expensive in his watch collection.

The watch blends a signature Tiffany turquoise dial, black and white hour markers and hands, and black perpetual calendar subdials. In December 2021, a watch model similar to Arnault’s was auctioned for 6.5 million USD, more than 120 times the retail price. 

According to Superwatchman , the most expensive watch in Elon Musk ‘s closet is the Richard Mille 029 priced at $250,000. The design has a gray titanium case, black dial, and uses an automatic winding movement. Chrono24 website estimates the value of the watch can be up to nearly 500,000 USD with the diamond-plated version.

According to Business Insider , Jeff Bezos wore the $12,900 Ulysse Nardin Dual Time for many years. The 42 mm watch has a polished stainless steel case and bracelet, a crisp silver dial with blue sub-dials, and luminous hands and hour markers. The design uses a Swiss UN-24 automatic movement with 42-hour power reserve and 100 m water resistance. This model is currently discontinued.

echnology tycoon Larry Ellison has many Rolex and Panerai watches, but the Richard Mille RM005 is the most expensive. The design features a 37.8 mm 18k white gold case with the brand’s signature skeletonized dial, and a black leather strap. According to Sotheby’s, this model’s price ranges from 100,000 to 200,000 USD. 

Another billionaire Rolex fan is Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway – Warren Buffett. Dubbed the “Presidential watch”, this design was used by former US leaders from Lyndon B. Johnson and Gerald Ford to Donald Trump.

Warren Buffett’s watch features an 18k rose gold case and iconic President bracelet. Silver dial with crown logo, gold Roman numeral hands and markers. The design features a self-winding mechanical movement Caliber 3255, priced at $40,200. 

According to SCMP , among the richest people in the world, Bill Gates is considered to have a modest watch hobby. Most of the time, he wears a $50 Casio, rarely wearing expensive models. At a conference in the Philippines, he wore a Tag Heuer Professional 2000 worth $1,400 – his most expensive watch model.

The design is one of the finest mass-produced chronograph movements of all time with a 40mm stainless steel case, black dial, 72-hour power reserve, 100m water resistance. On the used market, this model costs up to 35,000 USD.
