At this point, we all are familiar with Elon Musk, from his many tweets to the iconic SpaceX mission where he launched a Tesla car into outer space. However, many are oblivious to the fact that the engineer’s mother is just as much (if not more) of a badass as Elon himself.

Maye Musk is a 70-year-old model and dietician, as well as the mother of Elon, Kimbal and Tosca Musk. While 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in Canada, she moved to South Africa at a young age where her family spent a decade roaming Kalahari desert gaining notoriety as adventurers. In 1969 Maye was a finalist in Miss South Africa beauty competition, later earning a Master’s degree in dietetics. She continued her modeling career after returning to Canada with her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and has been gracing various magazine covers for 50 years. In addition to her truly stunning modeling portfolio, Maye Musk is known for her presentations as a nutrition expert all over the world. She admits that her interest is helping 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren eat better through vegetable gardens in underserved schools. Maye manages both her passions perfectly all the while proving that beauty doesn’t go away with age.
