Mark Zuckerberg and his wife will invest $3 billion into curing all diseases by the end of this century

TTO – Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have invested $3 billion to establish a medical research fund to “cure” all diseases before the year 2100.

During a press conference in San Francisco, according to BBC, on September 21, the Zuckerberg couple said their ultimate goal is “to cure, prevent and manage all diseases by the end of this century”.

This fund will be contributed by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which the couple founded in December 2015.

Mr. Zuckerberg informed about the three principles of his and his wife’s investment fund this time: to help scientists and engineers get closer together; build tools and technology to advance medical research; developed to raise more funds in the field of science around the world.

Now top leaders in the technology sector are turning their attention to the medical field.

Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that it intends to “solve” cancer using artificially intelligent devices.

Google’s DeepMind unit is working with the NHS to find ways to use computers to make more accurate disease diagnoses.

This week, IBM and MIT also announced the development of an Al-based system that can help clinicians improve health care for the elderly and disabled patients.
