In recent weeks, MLS supporters have been in a frenzy over the Argentine’s arrival.

Messi, 36, has nine goals in six games and appears to be enjoying life in America.

Inter Miami has hired a hench bodyguard to keep him safe.

On gamedays, the massive figure can be seen following Messi around.

He was seen following the attacker off the team bus.

During games, he has even guarded the right touchline.

The security keeps fans away from Messi and has been seen throwing a shirt to the ground after it was flung at the former Barcelona star to sign.

He will also accompany Messi off the field and into the tunnel.

Messi’s admirers are thrilled that he is receiving such close security.

One wrote on social media: “Protect the GOAT at all costs.”

While a second tweeted: “This guy means business.”

A third commented: “This guy means business.”

And a fourth said: “His eyes are always panning.”

Another added: “Miami is taking good care of the GOAT.”

Messi might win his first trophy in the United States this Sunday when Barcelona face Nashville in the Leagues Cup final.

Messi has made every appearance for Inter Miami thus far, and he has scored at least once in every game.

Following the Leagues Cup final, he will play in the US Open Cup semi-finals versus Cincinnati the following week.

And his MLS debut will be on August 26 against the New York Red Bulls.
